No welds, just bolts. Welding almost seems like it would be cheating, because it’s like hot glue – you can stick anything to anything that way. With these sculptures, the idea is that each part suggests its own use; things have to fit together or else they can’t be incorporated. Sometimes I have to wait for new broken parts to appear or I have to re-think part of a piece based on how I can clamp it all together.
